MEET CHEF NATE: PASSION, FLAVOR, AND FAMILY ON THE GRAND CELEBRATION

When you step aboard the Grand Celebration for a scenic cruise along the Colorado River, you’re not just in for breathtaking views—you’re also about to experience culinary delights crafted by our talented Chef Nate, who brings a wealth of experience and passion to every dish.

Born and raised in Tacoma, Washington, Chef Nate’s love for cooking began at a young age. Helping his mom in the kitchen, he quickly learned the joy of creating new recipes and the art of baking. This early passion blossomed into a career, leading him to hone his skills at renowned establishments like PF Chang’s, where he served as a lead wok cook, and Chandler’s Crabhouse, where he was the lead cook. His journey has brought him to the tri-state area, where he joined the Laughlin River Tours team in July 2023.

For him, cooking isn’t just about food—it’s about making connections. His favorite dish to prepare is a classic corned beef and cabbage, a comfort meal that embodies the heartwarming essence of home-cooked goodness. But when it comes to his own cravings, nothing beats a bowl of Pho, the ultimate comfort food that transports him back to cozy moments with family.

Since joining the crew of the Grand Celebration, Chef Nate has found a new kind of family. He loves the camaraderie among his coworkers, who have quickly become like family to him. His favorite part of the job is hearing the positive feedback from satisfied guests as they pass by the galley, knowing that his culinary creations have made their experience even more memorable. And, of course, there’s the unbeatable perk of being on the river every day, soaking in the natural beauty that surrounds him.

When he’s not creating magic in the kitchen, our chef is immersed in his other passions. He spends his days off playing guitar, diving into video games, and getting lost in novels, comics, and manga. A true music lover, he never misses a chance to attend a concert or music festival, where he can lose himself in the rhythm and energy of live performances.
