THE ADVENTURES OF THE GRAND CELEBRATION

In 2019, Brea and Trevor Chiodini owners of Laughlin River Tours, had decided that it was time for the Celebration Boat to retire. After 25 years on the Colorado River, her hull wasn’t the same as it use to be. She had created so many amazing memories for visitors, locals and the staff aboard her, that it was just too painful to imagine a life without her. 

Instead of sending her off to become scrap metal, they decided to offer the City of Bullhead City a deal they couldn’t resist, to keep her on the banks of the Colorado River at the Bullhead City Community Park, as a donation. From there the City can use her for event space, a snack bar area for beach patrons and more. Our hearts are full knowing she will continue to create memories. 

So, in the midst of deciding that the Celebration will no longer continue cruising the Colorado River, they hit the pavement looking for a boat builder ready to build a new Celebration. This is where they found Adonia Yachts, most popularly known for their amazing houseboat designs that you find on Lake Powell. Based out of St. George, Utah, Adonia Yachts jumped on the opportunity to build a new commercial river boat, a first for them! 

Then came the year 2020…. And we all know what happened then, Covid shut down the world. Following the shutdown we experienced material delays, shortages and everything else you could imagine to delay an already enormous job. 

What we thought was a quick year to year and a half build, turned into a 3 year start to finish project. But on January 4, 2023, the Grand Celebration was delivered to Bullhead City, AZ (across the river from Laughlin, NV and closes to the deepest launch area)

Adonia completed the stacking of the decks and the final touches and she was able to be launched on the Colorado River on January 16, 2023.

The Maiden Voyage with paying passengers took place on March 1, 2023.

Guests can now enjoy the beautiful luxury yacht styled vessel complete with a full-service bar, two restrooms, climate-controlled dinging cabin and an open air top deck. We offer a lunch and snack menu on our afternoon scenic tour as well as a two hour fine dining dinner cruise.
